Kremlin: Putin’s income shrinks to 8.86 mln rbl in 2016

MOSCOW, Apr 14 (PRIME) -- Russian President Vladimir Putin earned 8.858 million rubles in 2016, down from 8.891 million rubles in 2015, according to an income declaration released on the Kremlin’s Web site on Friday.

In 2014, Putin earned 7.654 million rubles.

Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev earned 8.58 million rubles in 2016, down from almost 8.8 million rubles in 2015. In 2014, Medvedev earned over 8 million rubles.

Presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov earned 12.8 million rubles in 2016, down from 36.7 million rubles in 2015. His spouse, figure skater Tatyana Navka earned 120.8 million rubles.

Minister for North Caucasus Lev Kuznetsov earned 582 million rubles in 2016, Open Government Affairs Minister Mikhail Abyzov earned 520.9 million rubles, and Deputy Prime Minister Yury Trutnev earned 356.9 million rubles.

Abyzov’s press secretary Alyona Zhukova said the minister’s high income was connected with further sale of assets that he received into trust management.
